10 & 11 DAY REMOTE FAR NORTHERN EXPEDITIONS FOR 2013

Join Spirit of Freedom for a rare opportunity to dive the Far Northern Great Barrier Reef on the remote north eastern tip of Australia. The Far Northern Reefs are defined as the isolated reefs north of Lizard Island that extend past the tip of Cape York peninsular, around 500 nautical miles north of Cairns. One of the last totally pristine areas of the Great Barrier Reef, these reefs are seldom visited by any boats, and many of the hundreds of reefs in the region, are yet to be explored.



The Far Northern reefs abound with masses of pelagic and reef fish and an incredible variety of colourful corals and invertebrates. October is the beginning of the nesting season for the green sea turtle and the waters around the many coral cays in the north, will be alive with turtles. This time of year is also the best weather season to dive the outer walls, offering a great chance of encounters with megafauna – tiger sharks, manta rays and whale sharks.



Spirit of Freedom will be conducting two Far Northern Expedition in late October/early November 2013. The 10 to 11 day voyages will commence or finish with a flight in/ out of the remote Lockhart River airstrip.

Our World-Underwater is preparing for the 41st annual DIVE and Travel convention here in Chicago.
We are proud to be a leader in the Industry for dive shows. This year will be no different. We have
Seminars and works shops for everyone in the Industry. The weekend February 18 to 20, 2011 will be
loaded with educational seminars and some great in-depth workshops. You won’t want to miss the Friday
