 Discovery Fleet Tubbataha Reef Philippines Trip Report I was invited on a trip with Discovery Liveaboards and joined them to Tubbataha Reef. The boat itself is very large, completely rennovated, tons of elbow room, great food and warm Filipino service. The diving in Tubbataha is some of the best in the world. Why? Because there is no development. No uncontrolled development by greedy corrupt families who bribe government officials to develop unabated, as so often seen in Asia. Uncontrolled development kills nature on land and of course underwater too. Runoff can be a real killer for reefs and sealife. Since this is a remote reef system with no development, the corals and pelagic life is abundant. The chef cooks great, the dive guides know their stuff and the boat staff is great.
