hi thomas, hi patrick (and all of you on board that great ship),

even now, after we returned from that fantastic trip to the similans where we had the pleasure of enjoying your care and company, we are still enjoying "the aftermath": it was an unforgettable trip because of more reasons than we can possibly name. among so many we just want to mention the great mix of knowledge and friendliness of patrick, who made every dive a unique experience and a span of time when we really felt connected with the fascinating world under water and above. the openness and competence of every single crew member will stay with us. as will be the case with the warm welcome that we received from thomas before and after the trip. we simply can´t imagine any better way to spend five days and six nights in that small paradise called similans than doing it with you folks on board the jonathan-cruiser.

verena & achim

p.s.: we had heard so many stories about the destructions underwater caused by the tsunami that we were quite weary joining the trip. now that we are home we have to say: go down there yourself, give the folks and the region in general a try. they deserve it (and you will have the time of your life, since there is still more to see than in most other places that call themselves great diving spots - anywhere)

Thanks to all from the MV Jonathan Cruiser, for the last of the season Liveaboard trips around the Similan islands. Diving was fantastic, food was great, and the boat as you say "was fun". Special thanks to Patrick for pointing out some of the smaller creatures that live hidden away under the rocks. PS DVD was good. Hopefully see you all again soon. Stuart.

A big thanks to the entire Jonathan Cruiser for a wonderful trip with great atmosphere and superb food. Everyone on board made a great effort - and succeded - to make sure that we had a fantastic time.

The diving was spectacular - I'll come back next year for those Manta's and Whale Sharks. My close encounter with a lovesick leopard shark is definitely one of the most impressing experiences I've had so far

Thanks to everyone and see you next season

We just want to say that we had a great time on the dive cruise, even though we didn't see any Mantas (when we later went to Hin Daeng/Hin Muang we realized why: all of them were there!). Great service, great food and great guidance. Also many thanks to Thomas for excellent help with all practicalities which went very smoothly.

p.s. If Kristin and Axel read this: please let us know if you would like a guide on your trip to Stockholm.

Hello! ..and thanks for a very nice trip 16th-22nd of March! Nice and helpful crew, nice diving friends, nice food, nice everything! Missed the manta though... but will keep my eyes open next year!

Vivi K - Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 16:21:48

TACK!

Hälsningar från Team Sweden: Eva, Anders, Elin & Mats

Hello Lotta, Yai and Thomas,
meanwhile I´m back in Germany and I still think of this famous, extraordinary and realy wonderful five days with you on board. It was my first liveaboat trip and I think it will by my best, even if other liveaboats came along. Everything was excellent, the boat, the guides, my fellow withdivers, the crew, the similans (even after the Tsunami), the food and of course being my friends (the Lanta team).
If someone looks for a liveaboard, go Jonathan!! Helmut

Rekomenderar Jonathan Cruiser varmt.

I'm in Phuket since December 1st where I did my OW, AOW and Rescue course. I was in Phuket on December 26th but not on the beach. To be honest with you, the Similans right now are even better than the Phuket day trips I did the first 2 weeks of December. There's even less boat than usual. NOW IS THE TIME TO GO. Good boat, good crew, good food, flat sea. How can you ask for more ?
Alain Belkaious - Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 20:51:08
Happy rooster year to Thomas and all members on the Jonathan cruiser.

It was my second time to join in your cruise in the past 3 months. Until now, I still can't believe I went back Phuket so soon since I ever suffered from the heavy seasickness last November. Sure, no exception for this dive trip. But I know I will go back to this magic liveaboard in the near future. Thank you all for your dedication, hard working, and the joy you brought to me between 9th and 15th of Feb. 2005.

As I know there are some divers who are not good at English, but still try to experience a liveaboard themselves. Below is a short note for those divers whose native language is Chinese.

Hello Thomas!
The Feb 2nd to Feb 8th cruise was superb!
Huge salute to the crew of Jonathan Cruiser that really made it a trip to remember. Special thanks to Yai who guided us exellently thru the divesites with a stunning ability to spot even the smallest critter from a distance!
We can only highly recommend to go! The Similan divesites are in fine condition and Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai as well. Don't resitate or cancel - come and see it your self!

The best regards to Lotta, "Team Lanta", Nils-Johan & Richard

I totally agree with Richard! The diving experience has been memorable and I am amazed that the diving sites had not been affected by the Tsunami. Thanks for 19 great dives in Similan & Richilieux. We will be back again soon. Give my best to Lotta and the rest of the crew. / Marianne

Hello Thomas and everyone else reading this.

Thanks for the great diving. It was my first tropical experience and I am sure many of my diving friends will be jealous after seeing the great photographs. Also thanks for everyone who made them and also tha Lanta divers for the company and of course for collecting and burning the great photographs on CD.
Diving is still great on the Similans. I don't see any reason why to cancel your trip. You have missed the Manta, some great diving and of course me. (sorry, that's not important).

Good luck and thanks to everyone on Jonathan Cruiser, especially Jay for showing us all the great fish that are on Similan.

Hope to see you again,

Richard

On behalf of our group, we all enjoyed the diving even after the Tsunami, many thanks to Thomas for fitting in with us even after our delayed flights.
All the crew were pleasant and helpful, guides and briefings both were carried out in a professional manner, the food was excellent and the boat at first we all thought was a bit small but it all worked and we had pleanty of room. All in all a good trip and I would recommend Johnathan Cruiser to others. I hope Patrik got his computer and camera fixed, and Yey still keeps looking for the Whale Shark!!!

Hi!
Travelled the similon and richelieu rocks late dec -99. Fantastic dives, competent guides (aaron and orla) and marvellous boat crew.
Planning another tour in asia and will hopefully be able to participate in another tour with JC.
Again thanks for a good time, and I hope the other divers will be as friendly and funny guys as they were the last time!

Tack igen Thomas!

Well, I have been around the world and dived in Japan, Hawaii, and all over Asia. But, the first time that I dived in Thailand was with Jonathan Cruiser.

The people & the staff aboard are excellent. In a short period of time you start to feel like family. The food is great and the dive sights and the scenery is some of the best in the world.

But, of importance to me is the experience & knowledge of the captain, and the dive masters onboard. Without saying the Jonathan cruiser's captain is the best in Puhket. Safety of the divers and the crew is his prime concern at all times. The dive masters knowledge and concern for the environment at Jonathan Cruiser is top notch and professional at all times as well.

My first experience with Jonathan Cruiser was in Jan. I was so impressed that I came back a month later and enjoyed myself again. That one of the unique things about Jonathan Cruiser. You can take the same tour many times. But each time its a new experience because the people on board are different and there is so much to see that you could take the tour every month. But still not see everything.

I strongly recommend Jonathan Cruiser to everyone. First, because of the professionalism and the dedication to safety in all areas of there marine operation. Secondly just because of the exciting thrill factor. Its a great experience you do not want to miss.

Thanks Thomas and the crew of Jonathan Cruiser.
Been on a few liveaboards before, both in Asia and Australia. Jonathan Cruiser is probably the best vessle I have been on. Not the most luxiest but all the good parts of the vessle makes it to an exellent ones.
Good diveplatform, exellent food, nice crew, large sundeck and not to forgett, really good divespots.
The clear water and the visabillity amased me. Clowntrigger fish, large schools of travaleys and Kingfish, Garden eels,Pufferfish, Manta rays, leopardsharks and Withtip reef sharks was some of all the different spices a saw.
Thanks again for an exellent liveaboard trip, and see you next soon.

Hello,
I came back to Europe yesterday night.
Fist of all, Thomas, thank you a lot!!! for the nice cruise, all the arrangements you did for me!
Although we couldn't go to Richelieu Rock due to the weather and sea condition, the cruise was
confortable and the divings in Similans were fascinating, I enjoyed so much, thanks to all the staffs and
DMs. I will never forget my first encounter with cute Leopard Sharks, really shy Jaw fish, small
purpleeye dwarfbogy, and Oman dancing shrimps.
I want to go back again in next season, please let me know when you have the cruise schedule for next
season, also often I will check with this HP, still I have to see long nose hawkfish, purple firegoby,
manta, and whale shark, which I have never seen, and all these should be in the amazing Andaman Sea.
Looking fowared to seeing you and the staffs again. Love
Mutsumi - Tuesday, May 2, 2000 at 05:34:59
We joined the Jonathan Cruiser for a dive trip to the Similan Islands and Richelieu Rock this April and I can honestly say that it was one of the best diving holidays we have had so far.
The Andaman Sea has some of the best dive sites in the world and being able to explore these with a crew as professional, skilled, and fun on top of that, was truly a memorable experience. The personal attention, hospitality and kind assistance we received from Thomas and his crew has convinced us that we definitely want to dive with the Jonathan Cruiser again in the near future.
Thanks for a great time!
